Kings acquire veteran O'Donnell from Ducks

needed experience to a defense corps laden with youth, acquiring Sean
O'Donnell from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a 2009 conditional draft
choice on Tuesday.
O'Donnell, 36, is returning for his second stint with the Kings, who posted a
dismal 32-43-7 record in 2007-08. He broke into the league with Los Angeles
during the 1994-95 campaign and played for the franchise through the 1999-2000
season.
The veteran rearguard played the past two-plus seasons in Anaheim, helping the
Ducks capture their first Stanley Cup in 2007.
A sixth-round pick of Buffalo in the 1991 draft, O'Donnell has registered 27
goals and 177 points in 932 career games with the Kings, Wild, Devils, Bruins,
Coyotes and Ducks.
